| ■Objectives This case is to report the effect of Ssanghap-tang on paresthesia of a subarachnoid hemorrhage patient. ■Methods A male Korean patient was treated with Ssanghap-tang and acupuncture, moxibustion for total 30 days. We observed limbs numbness, circumferences, other symptoms such as weakness and any adverse event. ■Results After treatment, numeric rating scale of limb numbness was improved to 5 from 8 at admission without any adverse event. However, we could not find any significant differences on hand circumference and limb weakness. ■Conclusion ? This case suggests that Ssanghap-tang and acupuncture, moxibustion therapy could be effective in improving paresthesia of subarachnoid hemorrhage patient. |

| A case of a 46-year-old Korean male with post-stroke insomnia that induced by intracranial hemorrhage was presented. He was treated with Transcutaneous electric acupoint stimulation (TEAS) at BL62 and KI6 once per a day for 17 days. We recorded the patient’s sleep time and time of asleep, and used PSQI-K to assess severity of patient’s insomnia symptom. After using TEAS, there was improvement in patient’s insomnia severity and the time of sleep. From the result of this case, electrical stimulation at acupoint can may be effective in treating post-stroke insomnia. | ||||

| Objective : This case study is to report the two cases of Ukgansan-gami on sleep-related behavior disorder after stroke. Methods : Two patients who had sleep-related behavior disorder after stroke were treated by Ukgansan-gami about a month. We evaluated these patients with the frequency and severity of symptoms. Results : During treatment period, decreases in both frequency and severity of symptoms were observed in two cases. Conclusions : Two patients who were suffered from sleep-related behavior disorder due to sequelae of stroke showed significant improvement of their symptom after taking Ukgansan-gami. |

| Objective : The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of Bojungiki-tang on a patient complaining dysuria and urinary pain caused by repeated urinary tract infection(UTI) occurred after onset of cerebral infarction. Methods : A cerebral infarction patient with repeated UTI was treated with herbal medication, Bojungiki-tang. Then we evaluated the improvement with amount of total urine output, nelaton catheterization urine output and self voiding urine output. Results : Increase in amount of total and self voiding urine output and decrease in amount of nelaton urine output were observed after taking Bojungiki-tang. Conclusions : This case showed the effect of Bojungiki-tang on dysuria and urinary pain caused by repeated UTI. |
