| - Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to report that a tremor patient after Acute Cerebral infarction was treated with 'Dodamhwalhul-tang' and then the symptoms were improved. - Methods: This patient was 81 years old woman who was diagnosed with Acute cerebral infarction. This patient had Hypertension and symptoms of tremor on left lower limb, both side weakness, both lower limb numbness, dizziness, and low back pain. She was treated with herb medicines, acupuncture, moxibustion during 22 days of hospitalization. Her tremor was evaluated by the tremor frequency and period and other general conditions were measured. - Results: After taking Dodamhwalhul-tang, symtoms of tremor and patient's general conditions were improved. - Conclusion: The result shows that Dodamhwalhul-tang is effective for tremor with Acute cerebral infarction. |

| - Objectives: The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of korean medicine on a progressive supranuclear palsy patient with gait disturbance and dizziness. - Methods: A patient with gait disturbance and dizziness diagnosed as progressive supranuclear palsy was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion. The period of admission is 16 days and we evauated the improvements of symptoms by the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS), Numeric Rating Scale(NRS) and Global Assessment(G/A). - Results: After taking Modified Bosimhwan and being treated by acupuncture therapy, improvements of gait disturbance and dizziness are observed. - Conclusions: This case report proved the effect of Korean medicine on progressive supranuclear palsy. |

| -Introduction: Allergy refers a hypersensitive immune response to the various environmental factors and Qi is considered as vital energy to defend oneself from environments in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Therefore, this study was performed to assess the relationship between allergy and Qi-deficiency. -Methods: We enrolled the subjects with allergic disorders and the healthy controls without allergic disorders. We got the information on the general characteristics, and the score of Qi-deficiency from all of the subjects, and measured their total Immunoglobulin E (IgE) level. -Results: There were one hundred forty three subjects with allergic disorders and 211 of the control. The educational level, total IgE, and the scores of the Qi-deficiency were higher in the allergy group than in the control. -Conclusions: Allergic subjects tend to have more severe Qi-deficiency. This could suggest the clinical effectiveness of some herbal medicines for Qi-deficiency on allergic disorders. |

| - Objective : The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the effect of moxibustion on a patient with left side paresthesia induced by central post-stroke pain. - Methods : A patient with left side paresthesia diagnosed with central post-stroke pain was treated with moxibustion, herbal medication, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture(EA). Then we evaluated the improvement by Mcgill pain score and Questionnaire of BiJeung. - Results : Decrease of Mcgill pain score, Questionnaire of BiJeung were observed after the moxibustion treatment. - Conclusions : This study proved the effect of moxibustion treatment on left side paresthesia due to central post-stroke pain. |
