Objective : This is a case report about monocular abducens nerve palsy in a patient with pontine infarction.
Method : At the time of onset, the patient had eye movement impairment in right eye and diplopia. Brain MRI image showed that there was an infarction in the right pons where the nucleus of abducens nerve is located. There was no obvious improvement in the eye movement before he received Korean medicine treatment. He recieved Korean medicine including acupuncture, electroacupuncture, pharmacoacupuncture and herb medicines for fifty three days.
Result : After treatment, the movement of right eye was improved to a normal range. The difference in distance from 'center of the pupil' to 'external canthus of the eye' at maximum abducent in both eye changed 0.9cm to 0.1cm at the discharge. In addition, Diplopia was improved at the discharge.
Conclusion : This case report demonstrated that the Korean medicine treatment is effective to diplopia and eye movement impairment from abducens nerve palsy caused by pontine infarction.

1. Objectives : Atrial fibrillation is the most common cause of cardioembolic stroke. Of the 44 ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation who were hospitalized in hospital of Korean Medicine from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2017, we selected 39 patients who have had Magnetic Resonance Angiography. We divided them into Atrial Fibrillation group with no stenosis or less than 50% stenosis in the ipsilateral artery of the lesion and Artery to Artery Embolism group with more than 50% stenosis or occlusion in the ipsilateral artery of the lesion.
2. Methods : Clinical characteristics, examination and evaluation tools were collected from the patient's electronic medical records. CHADS2, Initial National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, 8-item Stroke Scale and Improved 8-item Stroke Scale Number were checked.
3. Results & Conclusions : Atrial Fibrillation group showed differences in age, brain lesion location, vascular lesion, initial National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, initial 8-item Stroke Scale and progress compared to Artery to Artery Embolism group.

?Methods A patient with spasticity with cerebral infarction was treated with herbal medication, acupuncture, electroacupuncture. Then we evaluated the improvement by modified Ashworth scale(MAS).

?Results Decrease of MAS was observed after low-frequency electroacupuncture for 3 weeks.

?Conclusion This study proved the effect of Low-frequency electroacupuncture on spasticity due to cerebral infarction.
