| Objectives: This case study is to report the two cases of Gami-Guibitang on cognitive impairment after stroke with improved recall memory. Methods: We used Korean medicine treatments including Gami-guibitang, acupuncture and moxibustion to treat patients who had cognitive impairment after stroke for at least two months. We observed the changes of symptoms by measuring Korean version of Mini-mental status examination (MMSE-K), Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) and Global Detration Scale (GDS). Results: After treatment, the patient\'s symptoms were improved including MMSE-K, CDR and GDS. Improvement appeared to be prominent in recall memory. The general condition were also improved after treatment. Conclusion: This clinical case study suggests that Korean medicine including Gami-guibitang could be used to treat patients who had cognitive impairment after stroke especially suffering from degraded recall memory. |

| Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to report the effectiveness of Korean medicine in the treatment of chronic hyperhidrosis. Methods: The patient was diagnosed as a Soeumin Mang-yang Syndrome, and treated with Korean medical treatment such as Sungyangikgibuja-tang and acupuncture treatment. The severity of symptom was assessed using Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and follow-up of Hyperhidrosis Quality of Life Index (HidroQOL). Results: After treatment, the severity of hyperhidrosis was decreased from NRS 10 to NRS 2, HidroQOL score was also decreased from 32 to 19. Conclusion: Korean medical treatment for hyperhidrosis was effective in decreasing the NRS and HidroQOL score. The results suggest that Korean medical combined treatment including Sungyangikgibuja-tang and acupuncture treatment can be a effective option for treating hyperhidrosis. |

| Objective : The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM) on a patient with horizontal eye movement disorder due to Foville syndrome. Methods : A patient with horizontal eye movement disorder as Foville syndrome was treated with herbal medication, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. Then we evaluated the improvement with mobility impairment, length of movement and House-Brackmann scale before and after treatment. Results : Improvements of mobility impairment, distance at left gaze and House-Brackmann scale were observed after the TKM treatment. Conclusions : This case report shows the effect of TKM treatment on horizontal eye movement disorder due to Foville syndrome. |

| A case of a 73-year-old male patient who fell down, presented with unusual traumatic subdural hematoma localized on the lesion of tentorium cerebelli. He was treated with acupuncture, electroacupuncture and herbal medicine ? 五?散(Oreong-san). To evaluate the progress, we followed up computed tomography imaging and checked up changing of symptoms. After 17days of treatment, there were notable improvement in computed tomography imaging and symptoms. Oreong-san might be effective in treating tentorium cerebelli subdural hematoma. | ||||
