| Objectives: The purpose of this case study is to report the effectiveness of Korean medicine and pharmacopuncture in the treatment of pressure ulcer. Methods: The patient with pressure ulcer was treated with herbal medicine, Hwangryunhaedoktang pharmacopuncture, acu-moxi treatment. We started herbal medicine mainly Taklisodok-um for pressure ulcer, but changed to Paljung-san due to urinary tract infection on Day 67. During the daily dressing, we inject pharmacopuncture solution subcutaneous ulcer area and spray solution on the cavity of right pressure ulcer. The severity of pressure ulcer was assessed using[NPUAP] pressure ulcer stage, healing rate of pressure ulcer and depth of right side ulcer cavity on Day1, Day15, Day40, Day73, Day95. Results: After treatment, the total size of the pressure ulcer was reduced from 90(10*9) to 56(8*7)cm2, healing rate of pressure ulcer increased to 37.8%, depth of pressure ulcer was reduced from 3.5 to 2cm. Though NPUAP stage(Gr 4) was not changed, size and color of pressure ulcer definitely improved compared to Day1. Conclusion: This study suggested taht Korean medical treatment could be effective option for treating grade 4 pressure ulcer. |

| Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the improvement of dilated cardiomyopathy after traditional Korean medical treatment; herb-med, acupuncture, moxibustion. Methods : A patient with cardiomyopathy whose chef complaint was oversleep, shortness of breath, fatigue and coldness of hand-foot received inpatient treatment from September 2nd 2019 to September 23rd 2019. And we analyzed treatment progress and result. Results : We observed that traditional Korean medical treatment decreased symptoms; Fatigue by 30% and Coldness of hand-foot by 100%. And The patient’s general condition is improved. Conclusions : We report this clinical study to be helpful in treating patients of dilated cardiomyopathy by traditional Korean medicine. |

| Objective: The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) on a patient with poststroke urinary retention Methods: A stroke patient with urinary retention was treated with herbal medication(paljungsan), acupuncture, electro-acupuncture and moxibustion. To evaluate the effect of TKM on poststroke urinary retention, we observed voiding pattern and residual urine after voiding. Results: Maintenance of regular self voiding and decrease of residual urine after voiding were observed after the TKM treatment. Conclusions: This study showed the effect of TKM treatment on Urinary retention of stroke patient. |

| Objective : The purpose of this case report is to show the effect of Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) on a patient with insomnia occurred after onset of thalamic hemorrhage. Methods : A patient with insomnia diagnosed as thalamic hemorrhage was treated with herbal medication, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping and moxibustion. Then we evaluated the improvement with the number of times the patient woke up, PSQI-K(Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index-Korean), ISI-K(Insomnia Severity Index-Korean) and KESS(Korean version of Epworth sleepiness scale). Results : Decrease in scores of PSQI-K, ISI-K, KESS and the number of times the patients woke up were observed after the TKM treatment. Conclusions : This case showed the effect of TKM treatment on poststroke insomnia. |
