| Objectives : This study aimed to report the effects of Electroacupuncture on a cervical myelopathy patient complaining of motor paralysis. Methods : A 70-year-old mal e patient was treated wi th Electroacupuncture and Herbal medi ci ne treatment. The effects of treatments were evaluated using the manual muscle test (MMT) , Electromyogram(EMG), and Korea-Modified Bathel Index(K-MBI,). Results : Following treatment, the MMT score significantly increased 2 to 5, EMG result shows that difference in neurotransmission speed improved from 1.8 m/s to 0.7 m/s. The K-MBI score increased 72 to 100 points. Conclusion : The results suggest that Electroacupuncture could be effective in treating patients with cervical myelopathy. | Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medicine treatment in a patient who had locked intramedullary nailing for a femoral shaft fracture. Methods : From Apri l 23th to May 28th 2022, the patient wi th femur fracture was treated with traditional Korean medicine, including traditional Korean medication and acupuncture. Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Medical research council(MRC) scale and EuroQol-5 dimension(EQ-5D) were checked to measure the outcome. Results : After treatments of Korean Medicine Treatment, NRS was decreased From 6 to 3. EQ-5D of the patient decreased from 14 to 6. The muscle power assessed using the MRC scale also improved. Conclusions : The results of this study suggest that the treatment of Korean medicine has a meani ngful effect on improvement and rehabilitation of femur shaft fracture patient who have received intramedullary nailing.
