Clinical study on treatment of HIVD of lumbar spine 1 case using Bee-venom

Objective : This study is performed for th purpose of examining into the efficacy of the bee-venom which has been used among the Korean people for the HIVD of lumbar spine
Methods & Result : Using the herbal acupuncture made of Bee-venom, we treated the 1 HIVD patient for 2weeks and operated 5 pre and post treatment test ; 2kinds of physical test, self-conscious pain reduction rate, X-ray of L-spine ap & lat. view and MRI.
The herbal acupuncture made of Bee-venom had an effect in improving physical examiantions and reducing self-conscious pain rate. At the same time, we found that the X-ray and MRI signs of L-spine HIVD were remarkably reduced.
Conclusion : We brought to the conclusion that the Bee-venom has possibility to be efficient to cure the HIVD patients. So we suggest the possibility to use this new remedy for the HIVD.

A case report of Damyum back pain, the treatment sa-am acupunctere(damyumbang)

Objective : To observe sa-am acupuncture(damyumbang) has effect on Damyum back pain.
Method & Results : I have observed this case of 2days, and found out the good effects of this case.
Conclusion : Damyumbang acupuncture treatment is useful on patient with Damyum back pain.

A Case Report of Bee Venom Acupuncture Therapy on the Treatment of Acute Traumatic Subacromial Syndrome

Objectives : This case report was to inform the clinical effectiveness of Bee Venom acupuncture therapy for acute traumatic subacromial syndrome.
Methods : From July 31st, 2006 to August 23rd, 2006, A patient with acute traumatic subacromial syndrome had been treated in Conmaul oriental medical hospital. She was treated with acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and bee venom acupuncture therapy during admission.
Results : Though general conservative treatment of oriental and western medicine were proceeded, the pain prolonged for 2 weeks. But at the end of bee venom acupuncture therapy, the patient could elevate her arm without pain and special tests proved she was dramatically healed.
Conclusion : Bee venom acupuncture therapy was effective in treating acute traumatic subacromial syndrome bursitis.

7 Inhibitory Activity of the Water Extract of Ulmus Davidiana Planch (Ulmaceae) on Inflammatory Cytokines and Fas-induced Apoptosis in Human Osteoblastic Cells 도미화․김갑성 2006-01-01 ~ 학회지
유근피 약침액이 인간 골아세포에서 염증성 cytokine과 Fas-induced apoptosis의 억제하는 효과

목적 : 유근피 약침액은 손상된 조직이나 염증, 그리고 bone resorption의 항염증 작용이 있다고 알려져 있어 본 실험을 통한 객관적 분석을 통해 유근피 약침액이 골아세포의 apotosis를 modulate하는지의 여부와 골아세포에서 염증성 사이토카인의 억제여부에 대해서 알아보았다
방법 : Cell viability assay (XTT), Proliferation assay with various cell lines, Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, Measurement of apoptosis by ELISA와 Assaying the levels of osteocalcin and Fas/APO-1 등의 방법으로 ALP와 osteocalcin, MG-63 cell‘ nucleosome level, anti-Fas IgM의 상승효과를 관찰하였다.
결과 : 본 실험에서 골아세포양 MG-63 cell에 유근피 약침액을 투여 시에 유근피 약침액의 용량에 의존적인 ALP와 osteocalcin증가를 보였고, 유근피 약침액으로 배양된 MG-63 cell에 TNF-α or IL-1β와 anti-Fas IgM을 투여 후 측정된 MG-63 cell‘ nucleosome level은 유근피 약침액으로 배양되지 않은 MG-63 cell에 비해 감소하였다. 또한 유근피 약침액을 첨가한 골아세포양 MG-63 cell은 TNF-α or IL-1β에 의한 anti-Fas IgM의 상승효과도 억제하였다.
