Objective : The objective of this research investigated the effect of Rhus verniciflua to reveal until recently.
Method : It investigated the domestic and international research paper, a patent and a scientific data which is announced until recently.
Results : The effect of Rhus verniciflua to reveals until recently was as follow.
(Anti-imflammatory effect, Anti-oxidant effect, Anti-cancer effect, Promotion of testosterone secretion, Anti-hepatotoxic effect and Inhibitory effect of hyperlipidemia, Anti-platelet and Anti-obesity effect, improvement of cerebral blood frow and the contractile force of aorta, Immunity improvement, Inhibitory effect of the reverse transcriptase of AIDS, Anti-rheumatoid arthritic effect, Kidney function improvement of acute kidney failure, Protective effects of neuronal cell death)

Objectives: The purposes of this study are to investigate the efficacy of acupuncture and herb medicine on spasmodic torticollis caused by psychogenic disorder and to report a case of 41 year-old female patient with spasmodic torticollis caused by psychogenic disorder

Methods: The patient was treated by acupunture and herb medication. The improvement of the patient was judged by Tsui\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s scale, Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale(TWSTRS) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS).

Results: The tilt of neck, spasm and pain were reduced after treatment. Tsui\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s scale score changed from 18 to 4 and TWSTRS score changed from 47.5 to 15. VAS score changed from 8~9 to 3~4 at one day after admission and then the pain was almost disappeared.

Conclusion: These results suggest that oriental medical treatment is effective on spasmodic torticollis caused by psychogenic disorder.

〈Sang Han Lun〉\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s goal is \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Helping Yang energy\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Conserving Yin liquid\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'. Feces is the final product made by several internal organs\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' interaction in a human body, so we can see condition of positive energy and negative liquid through the feces.
On this fact, we considered the feces mentioned in 〈Sang Han Lun〉 so that we try to understand the pathology.

A Study on the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Treatment of Hemifacial Spasm

Back Ground : Hemifacial spasm including blepharospasm is characterized by spontaneous clonic and tonic muscle spasm on one side of the face with synkinesis. Though the ethiology of hemifacial spasm is not entirely enderstood, generally there are two. one is nuclear hypothesis and the other is peripheral hypothesis.
There are two ways of treatment of hemifacia spasm. One is internal medicine and the other is operative method.
Conclusion : In oriental medicine, hemifacial spasm is very similar to diseases such as Poryunjindo(胞輪振跳), Anpojindo(眼胞振跳) in symptom.
These diseases are related to the function of Liver(肝) and risk factor are regarded as Pung(風).
The acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment of hemifacial spasm is based of Liver meridian(LV), Gallbladder meridian(GB).
