Kim Hong-kyung suggested a solution to the difficulty of operating Saam acupuncture due to the lack of principles with
his original meridian theory and five–shu-points theory. And he tried to understand the essence of Saam acupuncture by
creating “Keumoh acupuncture”.
Kim Hong-kyung interpreted meridian by emphasizing the six qi attached to the meridian name. He then classified
meridians and treated them by adjusting meridians with opposite meanings.
Kim Hong-kyung made the ‘Cheon-bu acupuncture’ in the mid-1990s. Cheon-bu acupuncture is a method of treating the
cause of the disease with Cheonbu points by reporting and classifying the cause of the disease as fat and skinny, cold and
fever. Kim Hong-kyung’s ‘Sam-bu acupuncture’ during the summer course of 2006
have announced. Sam-bu acupuncture is to find the two most substantial five elements in the patient and treat them with
Sam-bu points. In 2010, Kim Hong-kyung announced ‘Three tae-geuk acupuncture’ to integrate his existing research,
increase the reproducibility of treatment, and standardize and unify it. Later, Kim Hong-kyung simplified the acupuncture
method with ‘Sun-gi-hwal-heol’ acupuncture.
Following Kim Hong-kyung’s spirit of Saam acupuncture research, junior scholars should develop Saam acupuncture by
diversifying the method, combining it with other medicine such as four constitutional medicine theory, and integrating medicine.

Objectives : Most of the Symptoms that appear as mixed Zang, Fu symptoms are seen in clinical observation, and even if treatment is given after an accurate diagnosis, it is separated into Zang, Fu showing insufficient clinical effects when only
Jeong Seung gyuck(正, 勝格)is used. In these cases, many doubt the abilities or the efficacy of Sa-ahm acupuncture theory. When dissatisfactory treatment effects are seen even after using Jeong, Seung gyuck with an accurate diagnosis,
some clinicians arrange 1-2 acupoints or use a combination of other Jeong Seung gyuck. However, this improvisation may have conflict acupuncture points function or reduced efficacy. There are several supplement methods that can resolve this
issue. Sa-Ahm acupuncture, which is based on the five-element theory, re-interprets the deficiency and excess caused by Jeong Seung gyuck among NeiJing’s eight principles(yin and yang, cold and heat, exterior and interior, deficiency and
excess) and its relationship with exterior and interior, which is not mentioned in cold and heat, as it only describes cold and heat gyuck. The result of the harmony in exterior and interior action is clinically used alongside a complementary method.
(Example of exterior and interior function: function of exterior and interior acupoints for tonify and sedate acupoints of liver Jung Gyuk)
Methods : Jeong, Seung gyuck combination is interpreted as exterior and interior, and then Clinical results are analyzed to compare the causes that cannot be solved only by Jeong, Seung gyuck.
Results and Conclusion : The result of exterior and interior function according to the degree of the symptoms in clinical situations negatively effects the previous Jeong, Seung gyuck combination. In particular, it is effective in situations with a
complex Zang Fu connection. Exterior and interior function refers to an exterior and interior relationship, and the analyzed result includes harmonious action in the Jeong, Seung gyuck combination. Furthermore, harmonious action creates new “image”,
which is another Image (象) and can be used to assist Jeong, Seung gyuck. For example, when the liver Jung gyuck is not sufficient, when the large intestine’s ability is included and utilized, harmonious ability (lung function) is complemented. This
may result in the insufficient harmonious action (lung function), which is linked to decreased resilience.

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Saam acupuncture on adverse reactions of COVID-19 Vaccines.
Methods : We reported two cases of Saam acupuncture Treatment of Adverse reactions of AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine. This is kind of Retrospective case report. We selected two cases after treatment ended and reported how symptoms were changed and alleviated based on what patients said.
Results : After 1 months treatment, one patient suffering from hands and legs being numbed showed improvement rated NRS 10 to 0. The other patient suffering from generalized muscle pain also showed improvement rated NRS 10 to 3 after 3 months treatment.
Conclusion : Saam acupuncture Treatment showed marked improvement on mild symptoms of adverse reactions of COVID-19 Vaccines.

Objectives : The purpose of observing how the image of emotions and thoughts change as the qi of the meridian changes after Saam acupuncture.
Method : We study how patients’ emotions and symptoms change when they are treated with Mind Acupuncture, a psychotherapy that uses metaphor and Saam acupuncture. The clinical effect of Mind Acupuncture was confirmed by
reviewing 9 clinical cases brought from previously reported paper and 4 clinical cases with story changes in metaphors. Afterward, We research the academic significance of the method of metaphor used in Mind Acupuncture.
Result : In 13 clinical cases in which Mind Acupuncture was applied, patients relieved negative emotions and acquired a comfortable psychological state with change in metaphors. Mind acupuncture can find a psychotherapeutic meaning in the
same method as the projective test, in that the unconscious is conscious through metaphor. The change in metaphor during the treatment process can be seen as the brain’s self-regulation process, and it can be thought that the treatment was
more activated through the treatment of Saam Acupuncture. As the brain’s self-regulation system progressed, the metaphor changed, and in a new clinical 4 cases, it was observed that it changed into a metaphor story form.
Conclusions : Metaphor changes in Mind acupuncture means that the unconscious becomes conscious and the process of brain’s self-regulation takes place. The change of the metaphorical story shows the process of conscious and unconscious change.
