| Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus has been traditionally used for chest pain in Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM). Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus include saponins, flavonoids, phenylpropanoids, alkaloids, volatile oils, polysaccharides, organic acids, amino acids. Recent pharmacological studies have shown that Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus has anti-inflammatory, anti‑platelet aggregation, hypolipidemic, anti‑atherosclerotic, cardiomyocyte, vascular endothelial cell protection, anti‑cancer, anti‑asthmatic effects. In this study, by synthesizing the latest research on the various pharmacological effects of Alli macrostemonis bulbus, we would like to provide clues for clinical applications beyond the traditional use of Alli Macrostemonis bulbus, and provide ideas for future research. | ||||

| Inulae Flos is an herbal medicine that has been used in various ways in Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM). Especially, Inula japonica Thunb. (I. japonica) and Inula britanica L. (I. britanica) are generally used in TKM. In TKM, Inulae Flos has been used consistently for digestive system disorders, bronchitis, and other inflammatory diseases. Recent pharmacological studies of Inulae Flos have shown that it has various effects such as anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, anti-diabetes, and anti-obesity effects, as well as anti-cancer effects by preventing mutant cells and inhibiting cancer cell growth. Sesquiterpenes, the major indicator of Inulae Flos, is provided to suppress inflammation mediated signal and cytokine such as LPS-induced NO, PGE2, TNF-alpha, and IL-6. β-sitosterol, one of the clinical components of adenocarcinoma, improves the human function of removing active oxygen and protects the gastroesophageal mucosa by inhibiting the release and aggregation of inflammatory factors. Xuanfu Daizhe tang activates gastrointestinal exercise by improving gastrointestinal inflammatory levels and gastrointestinal dilatation function in functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGD) patients. In addition, prescriptions related to Inulae Flos are effective in various aspects such as digestive diseases including chronic atrophic gastritis, respiratory diseases including asthma and pneumonia, and others such as hepatitis, and Hashimoto thyroiditis. Various studies on the pharmacological mechanisms of Inulae Flos are also being conducted.
